DL Community Service Project - Nourish Up

Description

Developing Leaders invite you to make a meaningful impact in our community through a hands-on volunteer opportunity with Nourish Up, an organization dedicated to providing nutritious food and resources to neighbors experiencing food insecurity.

During this volunteer experience, participants will work together to sort, inspect, and/or pack non-perishable food items for distribution to individuals and families in need through their network of emergency food pantries around the Mecklenburg County.

What to Expect:
This will be a fast-paced, team-oriented experience where volunteers work together to efficiently prepare and distribute a high volume of food. It’s an opportunity to roll up your sleeves, connect with fellow Developing Leaders, and see the immediate impact of your time and effort.

Additional Notes:
Please dress comfortably and appropriately for active, hands-on work. Closed-toe shoes are required, and volunteers should be prepared to stand and lift up to 25 lbs.
