DESCRIPTION:Developing Leaders invite you to make a meaningful impact in our community through a hands-on volunteer opportunity with Nourish Up\, an organization dedicated to providing nutritious food and resources to neighbors experiencing food insecurity.During this volunteer experience\, participants will work together to sort\, inspect\, and/or pack non-perishable food items for distribution to individuals and families in need through their network of emergency food pantries around the Mecklenburg County.What to Expect:\nThis will be a fast-paced\, team-oriented experience where volunteers work together to efficiently prepare and distribute a high volume of food. It's an opportunity to roll up your sleeves\, connect with fellow Developing Leaders\, and see the immediate impact of your time and effort.Additional Notes:\nPlease dress comfortably and appropriately for active\, hands-on work. Closed-toe shoes are required\, and volunteers should be prepared to stand and lift up to 25 lbs.Join us for a few hours of meaningful service and help Nourish Up's fight against hunger!
